I am trying to recreate an Late 80's Early 90's Video Game Theme in my room, I need some h

Well, heres the deal, I can honestly say that i would rather play my old nintendo, than play my 360. And in doing so, i would like to have part of my room, as if i really was in the late 80's Early 90's (1988-1993) I personly was only arround 3 durring this time period so i dont remember a whole lot. I want to get an old tv, that was possible made durring those dates, maby some old nintendo posters, just anything to recreate the experience. Its just not the same playing my nes on my Hd LCD, also keep in mind i would like to do this with a budget arround $50 or so dollars. However im not really sure where to begin, i have the nes, which has been restored, and a few of my favorite classics, along with the controllers and guns, Please just send my some ideas on what to do. I would prefer answers from someone who lived durring those specific dates, and was arround 12-16, who now in there 30's thanks again.

Just some random ideas I had for making a nintendo-themed room:

Get some of those storage cubes 3 or 4 of them, and paint them with brick patterns. And of course, one of them could be yellow/gold with the big Question Mark.

Paint your walls Super Mario Blue with big fake stenciled clouds and flying fish jumping.

Get some old copies of Nintendo Power and make a collage.

Find an old Virtual Boy system - check ebay - and display it prominently on a colonnade or stand. (Like it's the crown jewels!) Nothing will say it better!

Posters - the more the better, but I'm not sure what's out there. Obviously, you could order a movie poster of the live-action Super Mario Bros. movie. Maybe you could take some old copies of Nintendo Power to Kinkos or somewhere and have them enlarged to poster-size.

Some of the more amusing "trophies" you could try to acquire: the PowerGlove (ha!), an original spinach GameBoy, a ROB robot, and the aforementioned Virtual Boy.

Have you visited your local thrift store? You could possibly find sheets, posters, etc. there. I don't remember if they made lamps or beanbags with the Nintendo characters.

There's also Craig's List. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/

Find your city and browse the pages. Sometimes people have some real interesting stuff on there.
